Clinging to God During the Desert Times.....

I think God equips everyone He calls. When we look at the life of David, we see that his call was to be King of God’s people. The preparation that God gave David was not one that honed his leadership or wisdom but instead his heart. I believe God prepares the hearts of His people for the call that He places on their lives. David’s time in the desert prepared his heart for three things.


1) To know that God is the strength that will carry you through any circumstance.

2) To know that God will guide your decision making if your heart is in line with His.

3) To know that God is sovereign and His will is perfect in every situation.

Regardless of the call that God places on your life, He will prepare your heart to faithfully fulfill that call if you are willing to be obedient during the desert times. My prayer is that you would graciously accept the desert seasons in your life and that those seasons would ready your heart to live the life God has called you to.
